Renaissance Chinese Opera Society was founded in 1984 by Mr. Jea, Feng-Shi (賈鳳西 先生).   It was dedicated to promote Chinese opera culture and provide Chinese opera enthusiasts a place to entertain, learn and perform.

中興文化藝術協會是一個501(c)3非營利組織，促進中國戲曲藝術與文化在美國的發展。

About Chinese Opera:

The early forms of Chinese opera exists thousands years ago. It reaches its mature form in the 13 century.  It continues to evolve with different music, arts, dances, songs, literature and regional dialects.  There are about 368 variations of Chinese Operas.  The five major forms of Chinese opera are Beijing Opera (京劇)、Yuju (豫劇)、Yue Opera (越劇)、Huang Mei Opera (黃梅戲)、Ping Opera(評劇) each has its own elegant performing style and singing techniques.  Ms. Jia specializes in Beijing Opera and Kun Opera (崑曲).  Renaissance Chinese Opera Society welcomes all artists with different Chinese opera backgrounds.
